So, uh, How ‘Bout That Hurricane, Hey?

I haven’t written in forever, or at least, over a month.

I don’t have THAT much to say. Not publicly anyway ;) but latest world events are getting a little crazy aren’t they?

I didn’t watch much of the hurricane stuff on tv. I remember earlier the week sitting in a restaurant that had CNN on tv and was talking about it. I didn’t really pay much attention to it, but now it’s kinda hard not to. Pretty sad and scary stuff.

Maybe I’m going to hell but I did find it amusing to hear the old classic New Orleans Is Sinking by the Tragically Hip on the radio at first. Then it was you know, not appropriate. And then of course it became as many do: overplayed.

And then related to that, the whole gas thing. SWEET MOTHER OF GOD. I don’t know how people will afford to drive. I honestly don’t. Maybe I’ll invent some alternate source fuelled automobile. That would be awesome…and I could make millllllions.

Other things:
- I finally finished my last course for degree #2. I’m graduating with that one in October, and I’m on the substituting list now. Kill me. No, I’m serious.

- TV season is upon us and I’m unimpressed and not looking forward to any as of now. CSI has one of my fave characters MARRIED this season; that’s the only excitement it seems so far. V Mars is not impressing me…though maybe it will when I actually see it. The OC…well, who the hell knows what’s on the go? I don’t. Bah.

- I actually caught Passions when I channel surfed between that and Cosby Show reruns the other day. Holy hell. So much has changed, and yet so little at the same time. Theresa still sucks ass as usual (and was crying as was so very typical; made me laugh).

- It’s a crazy fall considering I have people moving home and others moving away. The general consensus however is sadness. :cry:

As of now I’d love to win the lottery and do nothing for the rest of my life. Except open a store of some kind. Of what? I don’t know. I will let you know when win the money.

    I’m withholding judgement of VM until I see a few eps. I think I know where RT will go with the mystery, and if I’m right, I think it’ll be really interesting. Plus the fact that JD is a regular now is only icing on the cake. :heart:

    I watched a bit of Pash the other day too, and I guess there’s someone new temporarily playing Sheridan? Weirdness. And Kay’s getting it on with Fox all over the place, which amused me to no end, as they were my 2nd fav couple at the end, after Kase of course. Lots of campy fun there. But then there was the Theresa delusions (is she seriously, like *dating* Alistair now?!) and the appearance of Noah (Jensen is so much hotter), and just … gah.

    As for Fall TV – I LJ’d about that before. I’m planning to watch Numb3rs, Supernatural, VM, and House. And football, when I can, of course.

    Um, and, yeah the NOLA stuff is pretty sad. I just can’t imagine having to rebuild after such a devastating natural disaster. :(

    See, I didn’t even recognize Kay. Damn soaps and their constant actor/actress replacements. And Noah? Creeps me out.

    Ah you have more fall tv on your schedule than I. I think I’m becoming more disillusioned and cranky in my old age :p
