Honestly. The day we start looking to Hollywood for guidance in our own lives? Is the day we all need to pack up each of our worldly possessions and move off the planet.
Perhaps I’m insane, but I take the idea of getting married…you know, seriously. Then I see idiots and embarrassments to the human race like Kimberly Stewart declare their engagement after being with someone for a few WEEKS. That other someone being NINETEEN. Anyone with half a clue said, “Yah, that’ll last”.
Luckily it was called off.
I was actually sad to see Nick and Jessica call it quits. Less so than say, Jennifer and Brad, but still. I know. I’m lame. Most of the “sadness” is being so tired of people treating stuff like this so casually and me having to not be surprised to hear about people divorcing.
I did read a nice thing a few weeks back about lasting couples (though it’s kind of sad when we have to pick through things to find people STILL together these days). Including The Duchov and some others. I don’t think Paul Newman was included, but as he’s been married to his wife since like 1958, he gets a cookie.
It’s so sad how everyone famous, plastered on tv, magazines and in all our collective consciousness, have so much money they waste it on clothes and still look like hobos; have relationships and weddings on speed; and sometimes make me cringe at the thought of being our “ideal” even though they’re starving themselves to look like Ethiopian children. We can at least feel relieved that they can be our poster children of what NOT to be or do – those of us with some sense.
It makes me sad sometimes. True.

…
Now that that title has made everyone faint/scream in shock [especially those in real life, if they ever found this site...;)], I mean my new electronic baby. My new toy. Silly people.
Introducing:
My hot sexy ipod. Yes it’s overpriced. Yes it’s trendy. But I don’t care. I wanted one for…forever and got it with my birthday money (and I had a great bday, thanks for asking
)…so I’m enjoying playing with it. You have no idea. I’m such a geek – this kind of stuff thrills me to mess around with. One annoying thing was that since it’s a photo one it is a pain. in. the. ass. putting album art for all of my songs on it.
But I can deal.
Because I love it.
On another note: I’ll mention it here (because I’m too lazy for El Jaying this and maybe Lizzy’s ears will perk up at me mentioning it :p) but I FINALLY saw the much talked about Veronica Mars. It’s not carried here at all, but I found a way to get a hold of the first episode (hint: google is our friend) :halo:. Consensus? I was impressed. I must say, I really did like it, especially as a first show of a series. Tres interesting and likable all around. I hope VM (the character)’s spunkiness or couldn’tgiveashit attitude (whatever you want to call it) doesn’t get too old too fast though, because I can see that being irritating. But we’ll see. And now I need to “find” the other episodes, but I’m sure I won’t have a problem with that.
*cough* :halo:
On yet another note (I love randomness, I swear I have a form of ADHD), I have a letter that I would like to share:
Dear Tom Cruise,
Go away. Really. Keep your mouth shut, and stop spewing ridiculous AND WRONG shit about:
1) volcanic aliens and soul-catching flyswatters or whatever other Co$ nonsense you go on about
2) being an ex-Dyslexic. Dyslexia is not a disease, it’s a learning disability you have to deal with for life. It doesn’t just disappear or become completely ‘treated’ somehow, fool.
3) medications which are certainly overprescribed these days, but that’s not to say they don’t have some benefit for VERY MANY PEOPLE.
Jesus, Lord.
And also: no one believes a word about you and your Great Love with Katie Kate. So, quit the bullshit already and shut your pie-hole.
Love,
The World
This crap has brought me to an unthinkable point. I dislike Tiny Tom more than ever, and now…I can’t defend Katie anymore. Sorry girlfriend.
More rambling soon when I think of it…I’m sure I have more nonesense to babble about. *goes off to play with ipod*
:heart:Thanks to the lovely Anna and Kate (who I mention a lot it seems. Kate, Kate, Kate. I wonder why?) for commenting last time. And Kate: I too am glad I missed the memo on the the baby/married trend.

(That is from an actual picture too, by the way).
How utterly scary is Lindsay Lohan lately? God. It seems the emancipated look is in these days. No doubt it’s due to:
a) a diet of nothing, aka. not eating
b) a diet of cocaine
c) both a) and b)
So very fugly. And it makes me weep for society. IT IS NOT A GOOD LOOK, MY DARLINGS. No, no it is not.
Mary-Kate Olsen is another freakish celeb too. Her and the Other Creepy Troll-Dollesque One have always had that “eternal 8 year-old look”, but I saw a couple of pics of her the other day. She looked like E.T. dressed up in Grandma Drag. It was frightening. If I had as much money as those girls, you’d be damn sure my wardrobe would certainly NOT resemble that of a homeless person. Just sayin’.
Oh and to no one’s surprise, Britney continues to look like ass.
[/random celeb mockage]
On another note: You know, I’ve been browsing the internet for a number of years and is it just me or is there like a new trend? As in, once you turn 19 you’re married/pregnant (er, aside from my regular people who visit here)? I’m not kidding. Every site I come across and it’s someone close to my age 23-25 (and usually younger than that), they all have kids and/or husbands. Did I miss a memo?
I’ve been trying to distract myself lately, so I installed a bunch of wordpress plugins. My fave is the weighted words one. See here. Apparently the word I use most is “love”. Who knew? Also the weather one I think is cute. Shut up, it is.
My birthday is Friday.
I’m feeling weird about it and I don’t really know why. At least I’m not 30.
 to Ally.
